I’m Tim Harsh, the proud owner of Akamai Structural Inspector LLC. I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
During my life, I have done many things. I left a corporate career in 1991 and moved to Hawaii, where I owned and operated two separate businesses. I worked with Globelink Telecom as Director of Operations and Project Manager from 2005 to 2015, building and overseeing telecommunication sites. I am also a retired, licensed captain with a fifty-ton rating and a licensed PADI divemaster with over five thousand dives to my name.
In 2015, a friend and confidant of mine suggested that I would be a great inspector with my background, construction knowledge, and people skills. This led me to establish Akamai Structural Inspector LLC on the principle of high-quality inspections at competitive prices.
The real estate business has been bustling over the last few years, and I added another inspector I spent a lot of time training. I wanted George Valle to have the same drive and philosophy regarding the inspection business that I have. I am proud to say that George is one of the most thorough inspectors in the Las Vegas valley and genuinely upholds the company tradition of excellence.
With the use of drones and thermometry, we now have the ability to find hidden issues within structures that went undetected for years. The advancement of the new software allows us to produce a report and deliver it within hours versus handwriting it and waiting for the film to be developed and providing information in days. We stay on the cutting edge of the industry to serve our clients better.
Our goal is to run a profitable business through goal setting, planning, and hiring only well-qualified personnel.

During my downtime
When I am not at work, I love working with wood, scuba diving, fishing, and spending time on the water. I especially enjoy spending a week in Alaska in the summer, landing big fish and scuba diving in tropical locations.
I also believe in giving back to society, and as part of that belief, I am passionate about taking care of our oceans and trying to put an end to shark finning.
